Company Vision Statement

In simple words, a vision statement is a statement that tells about the direction where someone or some entity wanted to go. It describes what are the things that an individual would like to accomplish. It is like the starting point of any plan as he or she moves forward like ‘where do I go from here?’ When we dream we should dream big but it should be realistic and attainable. A vision statement need not be complex but rather it should be short and simple. In a business or organization, no matter how large or small, a vision statement is very important. It is like a photograph of the future and describes where the company or organization would like to see itself in the future.

The vision statement states the ‘where’ of the company in the future. The statement should be concise, clear, and draws inspiration from the company’s desire to change for the better. It should also be easy to remember. Wise men say that without a vision people perish! In a company that has no vision statement, the employees lack the motivation to lean on. If we do not aim for something, then chances are we will not be able to hit anything. In the event that we feel that we are not going anywhere, just draw strength from our vision and be inspired and energized to keep going. We should be able to always remember our vision and keep it alive! We should share the enthusiasm and energy with the other members of the team for them to be inspired.

Some of the very popular vision statements are from Habitat for Humanity which states: ‘A world where everyone has a decent place to live.’ Or from San Diego Zoo that states: ‘To become a world leader at connecting people to wildlife and conservation. How about the vision statement of the World Wildlife Fund that states: ‘We seek to save a planet, a world of life. Reconciling the needs of human beings and the needs of others that share the Earth.’

Very successful companies do have admirable vision statements. Disney states: ‘To make people happy.’ Oxfam is built on their wish: ‘A just world without poverty.’ Ikea’s dream is to create a better everyday life for many people. While Microsoft’s vision is to: ‘Empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.’

We have a dynamic company known as Inteliasia Credit Investigation Services. Before we started operating the company, we had brainstorming sessions about our aspirations and dreams. At the end of the session, we were able to come up with the vision statement: To be a top-notch outsource service provider with a well-organized team that will respond to the immediate needs of our valued clients. To develop a strong well-trained cohesive team of responsible staff with foresight both on innovation and development of our services. To be responsive to changing customer requirements and demands. Our company may be small, but we are guided by our vision statement. Slowly and surely, we are going in the right direction accomplishing our goal.
